Lauren & Patrick's wedding was an amazingly fun way to end the Spring season. 🙌🏽😍 These two were married on April 22nd, 2017 on a beautiful and sunny Florida day! I love how intimate, genuine, and upbeat this wedding was. Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of who Lauren and Patrick are as individuals and as a couple. They both are full of life, love, and adventure! Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at Patrick's parent's property under the beautiful, tall trees. It was a blast being out in the sunshine and the woods celebrating these two adventurers! A really cool fact about their wedding rings is that Patrick and his friend made them! What?! They literally and physically made and designed Lauren's engagement ring and their wedding bands. Isn't that amazing?! 🌿 Congratulations Lauren & Patrick! Enjoy your beautiful and strong marriage and continue to foster and grow your love for one another. 💕Also side note: they did a book toss with their favorite books instead of the traditional wedding tosses. How cool is that?! 📚🌿

From the couple on how they met:
"We met through FSU's Dagorhir club (for foam sword fighting enthusiasts) and our mutual friend, Mike, who was president of the club. Mike found out we were both looking for serious relationships and decided to set us up. The only problem is he told Patrick, but not Lauren! Patrick was trying to get Lauren's attention at group hangouts, club camping trips and Dungeons & Dragons game nights for four months, but she had not a clue she was being pursued. One night, Patrick, who had been very shy in his pursuit of Lauren, struck up a conversation with her at D&D night and had her cracking up all night. The rest is history!"

From the couple on how Patrick proposed to Lauren:
"After dating for about six months, we went on our first road trip together to see the Marianna Caverns. On the way home, we stopped at Taco Bell for food. Lauren found a taco sauce in her bag that said "Will You Marry Me"; she laughed and commented on how many accidental proposals must have happened because of it (turns out Taco Bell doesn't make these anymore lol!) When Lauren wasn't looking, Patrick slipped the taco sauce in his pocket and kept it. He hid it in his apartment for over two years and proposed to Lauren with it on 12.15.16 at Dorothy Oven Park by the Christmas lights!"

I personally love how fun and authentic these two are! Lauren and Patrick have such a genuine love for each other and to top it all off, they're insanely sweet! They have such a great energy about them that makes ya just want to be their friends haha. Seriously though, they're awesome! Congratulations again, Patrick & Lauren, and thank you so much for having me film your big day! It was truly an honor and a blast! 🎥

These two have such an inspiring love! 😍 Dena & Austin have been married for almost a year now and we were able to celebrate with them by having an intimate elopement style vow renewal. The sweet, touching, and heartfelt words spoken throughout this film are their actual wedding vows. They seriously brought me to tears while I was editing the film. While this was a styled elopement/intimate vow renewal aka a wedding inspiration shoot, meaning the vendors came together to plan this, their love and emotion is 100% genuine! Dena and Austin have a strongly rooted and powerful love that is so incredibly apparent. This truly was such a magical day. 💕✨ Dena and Austin spoke and redeclared their vows to one another and it was so genuine and heartfelt. These vows are the same vows they spoke to each other on their wedding day about one year ago. Isn't that incredibly touching?! Also on their actual wedding day, Austin (a guitarist and singer), wrote and sang a song to his bride, Dena. Gah I'm gushing just thinking about it. 😍  Simply being around Dena and Austin just lights up the room. They have such a joyful spirit and together, they truly shine. This film (below in the post) was dear to me too since I go to church with this power couple! Working with friends is such a treat and one that I'm thankful to have done and am always excited to do. I'm wishing these two a lifetime and a world of joy and love! ✨ 🌿
Also these vendors totally rocked it and it was a blast working with the couple and the vendors. The lovely and talented Leanna of Cake Me With You was the brains behind this wedding inspiration shoot. Leanna creates absolutely stunning AND yummy cakes and offers delivery for them as well. Shout out if you're looking for a gal to do your wedding cake. Leanna! haha Anyway, Leanna created such a gorgeous cake with a "stars and moon" theme (also the theme of the shoot). It was so amazing to see everything come together and it was such a pleasure working with each of these vendors. Also side note: all the vendors are women, so let's go boss babes! haha Seriously though, I'll count that as a win for my ladies. 😉

Erica and Jeff became Mr. & Mrs. Smith when they were married on April 21st, 2017! A big congratulations to this warm, joyful, and caring pair! 💕 It was such a pleasure getting to know them, grabbing coffee with them before the big day, and of course filming and editing special wedding films for Jeff and Erica! Let's rewind though and get into how these two met. These two were long distance for a bit, but they always found a way to meet with each other.
They couldn't get each other out of their heads and always loved being together. 😍 *cue the wedding bells*
 From the bride:
"We met through a mutual friend who thought we'd be perfect together and arranged for us to meet even though we were long distance. We started dating long distance (5 hours apart) and Jeff eventually moved to Atlanta where Erica lived."
They dated for a bit and then not too soon after, felt that this was definitely something special. Hence, Jeff's upcoming proposal.
From the bride:
"He asked all my family and friends to record a short video saying how much they loved us which he combined into a longer video. He took me to Centennial Olympic Park near where we had our first date, showed me the video and then proposed! He had a photographer nearby taking pictures of the whole thing."
Isn't that so cute and thoughtful?! 😍 It's incresdibly sweet of him to go through all that planning and preparation to ask Erica to be his future wife.
I love getting to know the couple personally, hearing about their relationship, and how he popped the question. I love creating personal connections with my couples because I truly love fostering good relationships. Also it's amazing to film and edit wedding films for couples that now feel like friends. That is my goal! To create genuine connections with my clients and create special wedding films for them that are uniquely them. 💕

Anyway, let's fast forward to the big day! When I stepped foot into the hotel room at Hotel Duval where the girls and Erica were getting ready in the morning, I was floored by her gorgeous ballgown and the bridesmaids' blush sequins dresses. To quote her big sister, Erica's dress was "four times her size". haha But seriously her Paloma Blanca gown is so elegant and grand and it fit Erica's theme and style so well. I think we can all agree that Erica looked absolutely stunning and radiant on her wedding day! Erica told me her day was going to be blush, gold, and sparkles, and it certainly was! ✨Everything from this day ran so smoothly thanks to the great vendors from the day and notably, the team at John Gandy Events. This day was absolutely breathtaking! The stars of the night, Erica and Jeff, looked incredible and you could just tell in their faces that their hearts were filled with so much love and joy. These two are such a perfect compliment to the other and I'm wishing them many sweet blessings now and for years to come! Thank you again, Erica & Jeff, for having Jacob and I film and create special wedding videos of your special day!

Franceska & Dan // Magical Wedding Day at Mission San Luis

Franceska (aka Frankey) & Dan are truly a one of a kind and sweet pair! 💕👰🏼 They are such a joyous and fun couple and I am so honored to have had the pleasure of getting to know them and create films for their special day. These two have loved one another for years and their love has only gotten stronger since their first date in 2008. One thing that stood out to me a ton was the fact that their very first date was 13 hours long! Whatttt!! Seriously such a strong connection right from the beginning! How amazing is that?! Frankey and Dan have such an intimate and genuine relationship that is very true to them. They have a huge love for sci-fi and it was translated in such a fun way throughout their wedding. From their vows to their wedding details, there big day was uniquely them! I absolutely love weddings that really reflect the couple's personalities and theirs certainly did.

Another thing that really stands out to me about this couple is that they had their wedding at a place that is so special to their hearts. Mission San Luis is a local Tallahassee venue that is also a historic museum. Mission San Luis is where Dan and Frankey shared picnics, walks, and several dates. What a beautiful way to come full circle and share such a momentous occasion like their wedding day at. For our pre-wedding consultation that I do with each of my clients, we actually met up with Dan and Frankey at Mission San Luis to chat and walk the grounds. It was so nice getting to talk with them and see all the special spots Frankey and Dan shared.

Frankey and Dan actually have been married for a three years now, but on April 1st, 2017 they had the big dream wedding they had always wanted surrounded by their family and friends! 💕🎥 Frankey had been planning this big day for so long and I am so happy for them that the day finally arrived! And what a spectacular and magical day it was. Their officiant, Cori, is actually one of Frankey's oldest and closest friends. Frankey had asked Cori to officiate her wedding long before she even knew who she might marry. I think that is really amazing that this idea of having your good friend officiate your wedding came to fruition. Cori did such a beautiful job with their ceremony and I love all the personal and quirky touches woven throughout their ceremony. From movie, book, and show references, to little April Fool's Day pranks, this wedding was definitely a blast! ✨⭐

Congratulations again you two and here's to many more amazing years ahead! 🍾
Love,
Kemari 💕

Rachel & Devon

A huge congratulations to the newlyweds, Rachel & Devon aka Mr. & Mrs. Diaz! 💕 After nearly 7 years in the making, these two genuine hearts were united as one on Saturday, March 11th 2017. They first met walking along on campus at Florida State University and the rest is history (p.s. FSU is my alma mater too, so go Noles)! Rachel and Devon have such a powerful and authentic love for each other and it is extremely evident when they are together. Actually, even when they're apart you can tell when they speak of the other! Rachel and Devon are both so smart, joyful, kind, and sentimental, and it was such a pleasure to be there to film their big day.

From the first moment I met Rachel and Devon, I knew right away just how kind and caring they are. Jacob and I love meeting our couples before the big day, and this pair was no different. I'm an iced coffee and iced chai latte lover, so my go to spots are always coffee shops haha. We met these soon to be newlyweds at RedEye Coffee and got to know each other and their wedding vision a bit more. I really love this time together with my couples since we actually have time to get to know each other ahead of time and I love feeling like friends with my clients. Rachel is such a genuine, calming person and Devon is an upbeat, social kind of guy. They balance each other so well and I could not be happier for the two.

Their wedding day was so picture perfect! From every little detail to the florals to the bridesmaids dresses to of course the beautiful couple. Not only was this wedding stunning visually, but it was also so full of heart. The Diaz wedding was an all around magical day filled with love, laughter, and joy!

Congratulations to Loren & Kelly Womack! These two were married on January 7th, 2017 and what an incredibly beautiful day that was. Loren first reached out to me in 2016 and I was so happy she did. After our first meeting (we grabbed some yummy coffee at RedEye in Tallahassee), I knew we would work so well together. Loren has such a warm, fun, and positive personality. Her smile is so contagious and she really is a joy to be around. After we booked and closer to her wedding date, Jacob and I met up with Loren again, but this time with her husband to be, Kelly. We grabbed coffee again at Black Dog Cafe (no surprise because I love me some coffee and supporting local businesses haha) and we could tell how seriously in love they were with each other. The shared jokes, laughs, and smiles paired with a long and solid friendship as a foundation made these two such a perfect couple. It's easy to say that Jacob and I were so honored and excited to film their upcoming big day.
Fast-forward to the day of the Womack wedding. It was absolutely incredible. The two shared beautiful vows of love and commitment to one another at Good Shepherd Catholic Church and then had a stunning and fun reception at Goodwood Museum & Gardens. They had such an energetic group from the wedding party to the guests and that reception was fired up the whole time! {Be sure to watch the dance section of their wedding highlight video for a taste of that haha}. All in all, their day was perfect from the flowers to the details to the send off. The day was flawlessly executed by all the contributing vendors and spearheaded by the great planning team, John Gandy Events.
Thank you, Loren & Kelly, for having us at Kemari Lyn Films capture your big day and create special wedding films for you and your loved ones! We had a blast working with and getting to know you! Be sure to check out their films and some still frame grabs below in this post!

A note from Loren, the bride:
Kelly and I met in 2010 while at the pool with friends. We spoke briefly, and although we were interested, we each went our separate ways with our respective friends. Coincidentally, we ran in to each other again the following day, and at that point Kelly asked me on a date that very night. I knew right away that he was different from any man I had met, and he felt the same about me. Our conversations came easily and while we came from different backgrounds, we grew to realize that our values and goals were on the same. He very quickly became my best friend and we spent nearly every day together. Fast forward to 2016- Kelly proposed to me on the beautiful island of Islamorada in the Florida Keys. It had always been my childhood dream to go swimming with dolphins. Not only did Kelly arrange for a private swimming excursion, but at the very end of the session one of the trainers called me out to the water and asked me to hold out my hand. When I did, a dolphin swam up and placed a small buoy in my hand. The trainer cued me to “see if anything was inside.” When I did, I pulled out a message which said “Loren, will you marry me?” and behind me on the shore was Kelly on one knee. It was honestly a dream come true and one of the happiest days of my life.

Kelly continues to be my rock and best friend. We share a love for the outdoors, animals, and spending time with friends and family. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

Aren't they the sweetest?! I love Loren & Kelly's love for one another! They are such a genuine, true, and amazing couple! Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Womack! Jacob and I are wishing you the absolute best in your future together!

Tamala & Randall

Tamala and Randall are engaged! These two are getting married in January of 2018 and I am so excited for them. I just know they are going to have a beautiful, fun, and meaningful life together. Cheers to the future Mr. & Mrs. Close!

Tamala first reached out to me over the phone. She told me she had been following me on Instagram. Tamala was so sweet and told me that she was followed me for a while before she reached out to me which I think is so exciting! She felt like she knew me a bit before because of Instagram, and that is so awesome! Anyway, Tamala called me and she was looking to do a fun save the date engagement film for her upcoming engagement party. I was so honored that she wanted to work with me, so I began to ask her some questions to get to know each other. We clicked right away and I was so happy to create this special engagement film for her and Randall.

We set a date on a Friday and we went out in Tallahassee to Cascades Park as well as Park Avenue Park to shoot their engagement film. Tamala really wanted some fun sunset shots mixed in with night shots. I typically do outdoor and sunset shots, but rarely with weddings do I do outdoor downtown shots. So this was a neat challenge for me to face head on! I really enjoyed the opportunity to stretch my creativity with this shoot. Anyway, we met at Cascades first and let me tell you, these two looked so sharp! They were dressed so well and I was thoroughly impressed. I was really excited to get to know them more and to begin getting some sweet shots of Tamala and Randall. We strolled around the park and then made our way further downtown to Park Avenue for some more night shots. These were super fun to do and I was excited to get into the editing!

After I finished up editing, I shared it with the pair and they were so happy with their engagement film! They wanted an urban meets classy meets jazzy feel and they said I hit it for them! Yay! haha It brings me so much joy to work with deeply in love couples and for them be so happy with their final films. Aww I love my job! Anyway, without further ado, check out Tamala and Randall's engagement film below! I hope you enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day // Tallahassee, North Florida, & South Georgia Wedding Videographer

Happy Valentine's Day // Tallahassee, North Florida, & South Georgia Wedding Videographer

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, friends! Here's just a little recap of what Jacob and I did for Valentine's Day this year. 💕 Well we typically celebrate Valentine's Day a day or two beforehand (mostly because of the busyness the day of). So on Sunday, I was feeling pretty under the weather due to allergies. Ugh. 😷 Jacob being the sweetheart he is, he went to the store and bought me Claritin to help with my annoying allergies. When he came home, he handed me the allergy meds and asked if I wanted my Valentine's gift early. I tossed back and forth and then just said yessss I do hehe. As a side note, we keep our Christmas tree up year round haha It's a small little tree in the corner of our living room that we end up just using for decoration and a fun little twinkle in the corner of the room. Also, when we get each other gifts, we always pull them from under our tree haha. Anyway, back to the story, so Jacob pulled out a gift that was underneath our Christmas tree, and he hands it to me. Aww!! It was such a cute little gift bag covered in puppies and hearts. 🐶💕 As you may or may not know, I am a total lover of dogs! They are seriously the cutest animals (along with horses...I've ridden for years). Anyway, I'm a dog fanatic, so Jacob made my Valentine's Day gift puppy themed! So fun! It included a sweet card, chocolates (with a cute chocolate lab on the front), and a chocolate lab puppy plush toy. My dream pup is a lab either a chocolate or a silver lab would be my dream haha. So it was pretty sweet of him and made my day! Then Jacob and I literally binge watched Netflix for about 5 hours, drank wine, and ate chocolates. 🍷 It was a sweet time!

The next day, we worked as usual and then we went out to eat. Nowhere romantic haha because we both were craving a Tallahassee local restaurant called Midtown Caboose. Now I'm a vegetarian, and this is a burger joint, but they have some delicious gourmet veggie burgers as well as their regular patties. It hit the spot haha I was so hungry that day and it was a fun little time to go out with my love. Afterwards, we again kinda sorta went to a binge watching Netflix time. Ooops. haha We love our Netflix!

On actual Valentine's Day, Jacob and I went to a fun murder mystery dinner party. It was super fun and I did not suspect the right person who actually committed the crime in the game haha. Those are pretty hard to get right, but still so fun to do! I know it's not a typical Valentine's Day celebration, but hey it was a good time! Thanks so much for reading, friends!
Love, Kemari

Nora & Pat's Wedding

Where do I start with this lovely couple?! 💕 Nora and Pat are some of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of meeting! They're so intelligent and kind as well. It's actually funny the way we got to know each other. One of my best friends (she was also my maid of honor) went to high school with Nora and introduced us through Facebook. I worked with Nora and Pat on their Love Story Engagement Film that we filmed over the summer at Maclay Gardens in Tallahasssee. When I heard about how they met and got engaged, I could just tell these two truly loved each other. The way the speak about the other is so encouraging and loving and it is so amazing to see! 💖 After hearing how much they loved their engagement film, we discussed potentially shooting their wedding as well. I am so happy and honored that Nora and Pat chose to work with us as their wedding videographer! I had such a blast continuing to get to know them through Facebook and coffee meetings. I am truly thankful to have met such an amazing couple as the Baileys!

Here's a little background on how the two met (although you can also see it in their engagement and wedding films). 😉 Nora and Pat met at Stetson University when she was a freshman and he was a sophomore. They both were in the same Gender & Society course and she noticed him (and his deep voice) the first day of class. After just small interactions, they again ended up in the same class, this time in Sociological Theories. One day, while their professor was assigning a group project, Pat was absent. The professor asked everyone who would be willing to take Pat in their group and inform him of the assignment. Nora's hand shot up in the air to volunteer... partly because of their work ethic and also partly because she thought he was cute. 🙋😉 A little later in the year, Pat invited Nora to a get together and they had a wonderful time that night with lots of laughter and white wine. There was an instant connection between the two of them! Awww isn't that so sweet! Seriously, I love their love story! After a few more meetings, small dates, and Valentines Day gift giving, they began to officially date: February 17th, 2013.

So lots of fast forwarding and now time for the engagement! Woohoo!
💍 Since their graduation from Stetson in May of 2014, Nora and Pat had gone back to campus for visits pretty frequently. So when Pat suggested that they go again on the day of the proposal (little did she know), Nora didn't think anything of it. At this point in their relationship, they had discussed getting engaged before and she knew that's where they were eventually headed. She didn't know when it was going to happen, though. Early in the morning as they were getting ready to leave, Pat was kind of rushing Nora along which she thought was strange. But she didn't think too much of it. Continuing on their drive and arrival, he acted a little odd, seemed like he was on a schedule, asked to hold her hand, and started talking all lovey dovey. Again, she didn't think about it too much until he got down on one knee with this gorgeous ring. Pat started to tear up, dropped on one knee, and asked her to marry him. Nora of course said yes and then started screaming around to all the people walking by: "WE JUST GOT ENGAGED! JUST RIGHT NOW! LOOK AT MY HAND!" I absolutely loved hearing about their sweet proposal! These two are great! 💖

Fast forwarding again to the day of their wedding. Nora and Pat had a beautiful December wedding at the gorgeous SouthWood House in Tallahassee, Florida. After getting the ladies hair and makeup done at Haute Headz, I met the wedding party at SouthWood to continue the day and start the getting ready filming. Documenting the getting ready and gift/letter exchanges are some of my favorite points of the day aside from the vows and formal dances. I love those little, sweet moments. The in between moments. They are just so genuine and that is something I adore. After the bride and groom finished getting ready, it was ceremony time! The officiant was actually one of Nora and Pat's good friends, Alex. I think it is so amazing when couples have an officiant who is close to them. It adds such a layer of uniqueness and person-ability to the ceremony. During the filming and editing of the ceremony, particularly their vows, I totally teared up...on numerous occasions haha. 😭 Nora and Pat's vows are so thoughtful, authentic, and beautiful! Personalized vows are incredible! It warms my heart so much when two people come together and commit themselves to the other for life. And let me tell you, these two are so in love. They support each other so much and are such a perfect match. Thank you, Nora and Pat, for having us be a part of capturing your big day! How I Started

My background and the thing that drives me as a wedding videographer.

Hey there, friends! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Kemari and I'm a wedding videographer based in North Florida. 👰🏻🎥 I just wanted to take the time here to let you know where I'm coming from. To let you know a little more about me and why I chose to delve into filmmaking and even more specifically, wedding videography. 💕

I'm going to take you a little farther back here to when I was first exposed to the filmmaking. I was seven years old and my dad was showing me features on his handheld camcorder. He made home movies for us and also created the occasional music video (as he was in the music industry). I was fascinated by cameras and the editing process and came pretty hooked on it since. I continued with this passion mostly by acting in front of the camera or on stage. I loved all the arts really, from dancing to acting to drawing to filmmaking. I was a fine arts fanatic and went on to major in that in high school and continued to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in college. 🎓 Backing up just a touch, in high school I had a few big loves. Those were horse back riding, filmmaking, and drawing/painiting. 🎨 I knew that I wanted to be in the film industry so I researched and worked my butt off to get into the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts.

The FSU film school is a highly regarded school and is one of the top film schools in the nation...and I just had to go there. I was so determined to get in, so after much suspense, hearing the news that I was accepted sent me through the roof! My dreams were on their way to coming true! (Yes, but not necessarily in the way I originally thought.) I originally went into film school and the film industry to become either a director or a cinematographer. In film school, we were taught all aspects of filmmaking so that we would be well rounded and be able to do any job successfully. Towards the end of film school, we were given the opportunity to choose to focus a bit more on what job we'd want to do when we graduated. I leaned greatly towards cinematography. Throughout school, I gravitated towards the camera department and just got so hooked on telling stories not just through a script and words, but also in the camera work, angles, and lighting.
🎥 Shooting films brought and still does bring me so much joy!

A bit later in my film school career and as we were all looking into what we were going to do next, I realized that I would really like to spend more time with my loved ones and friends. During school, we'd be on set for 10+ hours a day. When we weren't on set, we'd be in preproduction or prepping for our current set. It was absolutely so much fun and I truly loved my experience there, don't get me wrong. Film school was one of the best times in my life, but the filmmaking and entertainment biz is definitely a sacrifice as they are very time consuming. While I absolutely love film school and the film industry, family and friends are so very more important to me. Not to get all cliche or philosophical, but life is short and I really wanted a career that would allow me to be present during the milestones of life. At this time in my life, I was about to be engaged to my then boyfriend and now husband, Jacob, and I also wanted to be there for him. It was a tough decision, but I decided to find a way that I could have a decent work/life balance while I also continue my passion for filmmaking.

As another side note, I have been (not so) low key obsessed with weddings and the wedding industry for years. Before I even was in a serious relationship with my husband, I would watch wedding shows, have wedding planning apps on my phone, various wedding
Pinterest boards, and I would assist friends (and people online) with wedding advice. I just loved marriage and weddings so much (and of course, I still do...even more so now)! Through lots of research, mentoring, and self reflecting, I decided that I wanted to start my own business and become a wedding videographer. That way, I could marry (lol) the two things I love so much, weddings and filmmaking. I also have a huge passion for people and making them feel welcomed and loved. Running a boutique style wedding videography business has played so perfectly into my strengths and passions. I care so much for others and I truly love that I can document and capture people's love through films. Weddings are the start of a beautiful life journey and it is amazing to be a part of! 👰🏻

I hold marriage so highly because it's the most important thing in your life. When you commit to marry someone, you're giving yourself to another person. You're inviting them to be so deeply connected with you through the good times and the bad. You're vowing to show such strong love for a person even if you're angry, sad, happy, or complacent. As people, we go through waves of emotions and phases, but to be married, you are committing to stick to that person through it all. Marriage is so important, friends! It's not always going to be easy, but if you both are in it for the long haul, trust me when I say that it is worth it. That it is amazing and so incredibly special. I literally could talk all day about how precious marriage is. 💕

I just wanted to let you know that as your wedding videographer, I not only care about creating beautiful films for you, but also helping you with wedding and marriage advice. I want to be there to support you and to be someone you trust as a friend. I only take a limited number of up to 20 weddings a year, because I truly want to invest my all into my couples. I love being there for my clients and I do truly care about you and your marriage. It brings me such joy to see two people come together and I absolutely love being able to be there for you!

Lots of love,
Kemari

Ethereal Bridal Inspiration

I love collaborating with other local wedding professionals! Supporting and working with local small businesses is so rewarding and fun {especially when they involve pretty BHLDN dresses haha}. Side note: I am totally crushing on BHLDN dresses lately and plan on getting one for my vow renewal hehe. 👰🏼👗 Anyway, for this bridal inspiration shoot, the photographer, Sarah, had a winter vision consisting of soft beauty and pops of color. And let me tell you, her vision panned out beautifully! Sarah of Sarah Brooke Photography and I met online actually. We were all commenting in the Rising Tide Society group about where we were from and what type of creative business we were in. Side note: if you are not familiar with the Rising Tide Society, it is a group of creatives and small business owners that foster community over competition. The group strives to help grow and empower small business owners in a healthy, fun, and collaborative way. Back to the story: So we were commenting on an RTS Facebook thread, and I noticed that Sarah is based out of Valdosta, Georgia which is so close to where I'm based in Tallahassee, Florida. Anyway, so I reached out to her and we made sure that we would get together at some point to get to know each other. Later, Sarah posted about wanting to do an inspiration shoot and I thought it would be the perfect time to get to know each other. She is so friendly and great to work with, plus she's a great photographer! 📷

We worked on this shoot at the absolutely stunning, Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia. This venue has such amazing locations and it even has gorgeous horses and a beautiful stable! P.S. I've been riding horses for so many years, so I totally get hyped up when I get to shoot at locations with horses haha. 🐴 All of the vendors that helped put this together were so amazing! Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible and a shout out to Lindsay of Captured by Colson for hanging out with us and snapping some additional photos. I absolutely love collaboration and working on inspiration shoots is such a great way to do that. Not only is it a great time to network and make friends with local vendors, but it is also a great way to try new creative techniques. It was such a joy working with these sweet people and I truly hope to again soon!
💖 Love, Kemari
